Final day of Ramadhan...Syawal approaching...
Are we really ready to leave Ramadhan? Is this the best way to end the relationship we have just build? But wait, can we call it a relationship with just a strings of Terawih? So much holes in this year's Ramadhan...
But don't worry, we will always long for the next Ramadhan...it will always come... But will we be there to embrace it? Such a waste, this year..
Therefore, for the last remaining hours of Ramadhan, let us appreciate it, hold it dear, keep it close, for us to reach end of Ramadhan is His blessing, sympathy...but the next?

Let's always love our parents & all the elderly, respect them. Even if the elders aren't our parents,but they are parents to some other souls. That, my friend, is exactly why in Islam we are to respect not only our parents, but all the elderly. :) May whatever we do - even the smallest, tiniest, unknown-by-others deed - will be seen by Him as worthy deed, useful of taking us into the resentment of our sins, & as a toll for making it to His heaven. Amiin. :)

Abdullah bin Abbas (RA) reported that the Prophet (SAW) said that encouraging good, prohibiting evil, lifting the burden of the weak person and removing an offensive thing from a path are all acceptable prayers to Allah. [ibn Majah]

Hi, 10 ice…do you know…

Back then…“Get away, get away you filthy animal!!! Damn cat…” That’s my normal reaction seeing cats wandering out in front of me house. I don’t know, but maybe I do not really like them, or no point in liking them I think.

“Oh see that cat there, how cute…” is what people used to say bout them cat. Seriously, what cuteness do they see. All the cats have the same look to me. A somewhat ugly, murderous, evil,devilish stare shines from its face. Always with the sneaky, ill-intention look, hidden by its so-called ‘cute & pityful’ smile… Yeah rite, as if it can fool me, others, okay, but me? Hell no.

Anyway, just until recently, I got this link about a story of a cat & its caring owner. Well, guess who’s the owner is? It happens to be our most glorious leader, most highest ranking man by His eyes, & yet the most humblest person the world has ever known. The last Messenger of Allah, prophet Muhammad ( peace be upon him).

In the story, our great Prophet p.b.u.h. shows such great care & love to the cat, as if it were his own son. Once, he was on his way to go perform salah. Just when reaching out for his jubah ( a kind of cloth used mostly by the Arabians), his cat, named Mueeza, were sleeping cozily on the jubah. Not wanting to wake up Mueeza, he chosed to cut the part of jubah which were occupied by Mueeza…

Maybe, because of this story, I kinda have a different cats. Even the most noble person in the world - the man who is promised to be the very first to enter His heaven – treats a mere animal, a cat with such respect. That, me friend, is how the leader of men should be, not bias, not taking any particular liking to any certain groups, or, in his case, species.

Now… I am trying to take a liking too towards cats. Yeah, supposedly to all other animals, but still, think & aim big, start small. There is this particular cat, a small one, that keeps coming to our house. Well me & my housemates decide to buy it some food, feeding it. A small, black cat… Blacky ( Si itam ) is what we called it.

Rasulullah s.a.w dan Kucingnya - akuislam.com

Diceritakan dalam suatu kisah, Nabi Muhammad SAW memiliki seekor kucing yang diberi nama Mueeza.

Suatu ketika, dikala nabi hendak mengambil jubahnya, di temuinya Mueeza sedang terlelap tidur dengan santai diatas jubahnya. Kerana tidak mahu mengganggu haiwan kesayangannya itu, nabi pun memotong belahan lengan yang ditiduri Mueeza dari jubahnya.

Ketika Nabi kembali ke rumah, Muezza terbangun dan tunduk sujud kepada tuannya.

Sebagai balasan, nabi menyatakan kasih sayangnya dengan mengusap lembut ke badan kucing baginda itu sebanyak 3 kali.

Dalam peristiwa lain, setiap kali Nabi menerima tetamu di rumahnya, nabi selalu menggendong mueeza dan diriba diatas pahanya.

Salah satu sifat Mueeza yang nabi sukai ialah dia selalu mengeong ketika mendengar azan, dan seolah-olah suaranya terdengar seperti mengikuti lantunan suara azan.

Kepada para sahabat, nabi selalu berpesan untuk menyayangi kucing peliharaan, seperti menyayangi keluarga sendiri.

Hukuman bagi mereka yang menyakiti haiwan manja ini sangatlah berat, dalam sebuah hadis sahih Al Bukhari, dikisahkan tentang seorang wanita yang tidak pernah memberi makan kucingnya, dan tidak pula melepaskan kucingnya untuk mencari makan sendiri.

Nabi SAW pun menjelaskan bahawa hukuman bagi wanita ini adalah siksaan neraka.

Tidak hanya nabi, isteri nabi sendiri, Aisyah binti Abu Bakar Ash Siddiq pun amat menyukai kucing, dan merasa amat kehilangan dikala kucingnya meninggalkan

Seorang sahabat yang juga ahli hadis, Abdurrahman bin Sakhr Al Azdi diberi jolokan Abu Hurairah (bapa kucing jantan), kerana kegemarannya dalam merawat dan memelihara banyak kucing jantan dirumahnya.
